Marginalization is a serious issue that affects many communities around the world, and Kwara North is no exception.
Despite its significant contributions to the political landscape of Nigeria, the region has been largely neglected when it comes to federal political appointments.
Kwara North, which comprises of Baruten, Edu, Kaiama, and Patigi Local Government Areas, has a population of over 500,000 people.
Despite this, the region has not been given a fair share of political appointments at the federal level, including ministerial slots.
The lack of federal representation in Kwara North has left many residents feeling marginalized and ignored by the government.
Despite the region’s significant contributions to the economic, social, and political development of Nigeria, it has been largely overlooked by those in power.
The issue of marginalization is particularly acute in the wake of the 2023 elections, in which Kwara North voted overwhelmingly for All APC candidates.
Despite this show of support, the region has yet to receive any significant political appointments or recognition.
Overall, the story of Kwara North is one of neglect and marginalization.
Despite its significant contributions to Nigeria’s political landscape, the region has been largely ignored when it comes to federal political appointments.
This has left many residents feeling left behind and ignored by those in power, and highlights the need for greater representation and support for marginalized communities across Nigeria.
Although I understand that the choice of who will become a minister to represent kwara state at the federal Executives Council is the prerogative of the President, I urge the President should use his prerogative Power by consider kwara North for Ministerial position and I also urge Kwara State Governor,H.E Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq Should Have Sympathy to the peoples of kwara North with this position.
May Almighty Allah guild us through.
