We call on leaders or rulers of nations to embrace peace, and shun any act that can maim and kill people indiscriminately. The horrour of first and second world wars, are still fresh in the mind. One cannot forget the nuclear holocaust in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in Japan: where multitude of people perished, with extensive damages to the environment. This war mongering attitude or military superiority complex, of leaders of some nations should be discarded.
We should all realize there is a creator of the whole universe, watching over events in the world. He is Almighty God, slow to anger but mighty in power. Science, religion, whatever, have proved His existence. Only the ignorant people are yet to believe He exists. We ought to know this earth we are living in for the meantime, is very tiny and insignificant, compared with the whole universe. If the universe is divided into a trillion parts; the earth is not up to one of them.
The LORD has the power to wipe out the entire earth, including rulers and the ruled, in a twinkling of an eye. Therefore, fear God and depart from destructive plans; for by the fear of God men depart from evil. The nations are like a drop in the ocean. “Behold, the nations are as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he takes up the isles as a very little thing. All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity”—Isaiah: 40: 15 & 17.
“What is man, that you are mindful of him? and the son of man, that you visit him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and have crowned him with glory and honour. you made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet: Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passes away”—Psalms 8:4,5 &144:4. There are lots of creatures more bulky than human beings. They include whales, hippopotamus and some snakes that can swallow human beings. But God chose to make man have dominion over other creatures: and to subdue the earth. But pride goes before a fall.
All your so-called weapons of mass destruction, are nothing before the LORD. We shouldn’t provoke Jehovah God to destroy this world before time. “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.” One day He will destroy this world in His anger; because of the wickedness going on in it.
The LORD responds through thunder and lightening. You cannot stay in the open, or outside a building during thunder storm. That will show you He is great. Everybody will scamper for safety; both big and small. Thunder storm can scatter or bring any structure down. Quest for supremacy over other nations, should be by the ability to provide the good things of life to them; and not to destroy them. Send food and other relief materials to them.
There is hunger especially in developing countries. Help to industrialize and develop these nations. World powers, and intending ones, need to provide for less privileged nations; rather than selling weapons of mass destruction to them to kill themselves.
Causing people to fear or tremble before you, is not a mark of greatness. Genuine greatness comes through service to God and humanity. Remember, the LORD has timed your stay on this earth. At the end of your days, you will depart from this world through death: to give account of your life to your creator. For everyone must render account of his life to Almighty God.
