Reno Omokri, former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has challenged President-elect, Bola Tinubu, to show up in Nigeria, saying he cannot hide any longer.
SPY NIGERIA reports that Tinubu had travelled out of the country a few days to take a rest after a gruelling presidential election campaigns that saw him announced as winner in February.
But in a post on his verified social media pages on Friday, Omokri, who campaigned vigorously for Atiku Abubakar – presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the election, said Nigerians must queried why Tinubu is nowhere to be found days after claiming victory in the poll.
He also accused of the former Lagos governor of being among the people that strongly agitated for the return of former President Umar Yar’adua when he was away from the country under hidden circumstance.
He said : “Bola Ahmed Tinubu is officially a President-elect by INEC’s declaration. He can’t hide anymore. On his birthday nobody saw him. He has not appeared in public for weeks. Old videos were circulated to fool the public. He is not breaking Ramadan fast with the Muslim Ummah, as is the usual practice with Nigerian leaders of the Islamic faith. He is not been seen at the mosque during this holy month. The man is no longer a private citizen. He purported to have won an election.
” Where is Tinubu? Where is he hiding? What is the matter with him? Tinubu and Buhari gave Umaru Musa Yar’adua hell when he disappeared as Presidential candidate, as President-elect, and finally as President. Thus, Tinubu can’t disappear now and not expect us to ask the same questions he asked Yar’adua.”
