How Much are the School Fees of Anambra State University?
Like most state-owned Universities, the Anambra State University school fees are relatively higher than what is obtainable in federal universities. However, it is imperative to note that in most Federal and state universities, the school fees paid by students differ depending on the course of study and the level of study.
This means that a student of Medicine may pay higher than someone studying Accounting or the English Language at the same university. Similarly, a new student in his or her 1st year of study will likely pay higher school fees than someone in 3rd or 4th year of study. In most state universities also, indigenes of the state pay lesser fees than non-indigenes.
Anambra State University school fees may also differ from one academic session to another as the management reserve the right to either increase or decrease the fee. Currently, the school fees at Uli range from ₦125,465 to ₦401,815 for new students and ₦110,315 to ₦401,315 for old students.
This indicates a massive fee increase from ₦13000 to ₦15000 students paid in 2007 and 2008 before it was increased to ₦26000 and ₦31000. Below is a breakdown of the current school fees for all Anambra State University courses.
|Fresh Students Fees Paid|
|Second Year Students|

|Fourth Year Students|
|Professional (Law Courses)||₦186,965.00|
|Professional and Science Courses (Engineering/Env.)||₦136,965.00|

Note: ANSU school fees are paid per academic session, which constitutes two semesters. While the above-stated amount can change from one academic session to another, you should also know that the University made it clear that late payment will attract penalties in form of extra charges. So, if you are paying for any of the sections late, you may be charged an additional fee.
