David Ibiyeomie is a televangelist, pastor, author, and the founder of Salvation Ministries, which has its headquarters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
David was born on October 21, 1962, in Bonny Island, Rivers State, Nigeria.
He runs a N10 billion ministry with over 30 branches. He is arguably the most prominent and richest pastor from the south-south part of the country.
He is listed among the wealthiest pastors in Nigeria.
Education
David Ibiyeomie had his elementary education at Banham Primary School before heading to Government Comprehensive Secondary School Borikiri, Rivers State, for his secondary education.
He then proceeded to the University of Science and Technology, Port Harcourt. for his bachelor’s degree.
Career
Pastor David started his spiritual journey by attending Bishop David Oyedepo’s Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI) for Bible School training.
After learning the bible under the tutelage of the revered bishop, David then started a house fellowship with his family in Victoria Island, Lagos, before he moved to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to launch his ministry, Salvation Ministries (Glorious Chapel) in1997, with a little over twenty members in attendance.
Later in 1997, he relocated to a larger property. The ministry grew larger and it accommodates about 50,000 attendees every Sunday at its headquarters.
The church has also grown to launch satellite churches in one day, with all running several services each.
David Ibiyeomie reaches millions of people through his television ministry Hour of Salvation and live services. The Hour of Salvation TV program debuted in 2001 on NTA channel 10 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria, and is now broadcast on over 40 television stations both locally and globally.
Marriage
David Ibiyeomie is married to Peace Ibiyeomie, and they are blessed with a son, David Jnr.

He received an honorary doctorate in divinity from the Bradley University of America in 2004.
Controversy
Journalist Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo claimed in 2017 that Ibiyeomie had an affair with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo. Olunloyo was later arrested and denied bail for slander. She has, however, been released. However, Ibiyeomie categorically disputed the claims.
