The ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, and its Presidential Candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, have suffered yet another major rejection by the Nigerian youths, just ahead of the 2019 general elections.
Speaking on behalf of millions of aggrieved youths around the country, Salisu Abdulai, an Advocate for a Greater Nigeria, and the Editor-in-Chief, Post-Nigeria, criticised President Buhari and the APC, for leading a government of extreme poverty, which he argued has taken the country many years backwards, and ridiculed the country before the eyes of the international community.
His words: “I speak on behalf of many aggrieved Nigerian youths, who have either lost their jobs under the administration of the APC and President Muhammadu Buhari, or have enjoyed no single opportunity to aid their entrepreneurship abilities and capabilities; enjoyed no single encouragement or support for their businesses; no longer enjoy any kind of freedom of speech, even in a democracy; enjoy no scholarships to study within and outside the country; have no avenue to share their great ideas and innovations, which we know can change this country for the best; sit back and watch the government completely ignore corruption allegations under its nose, involving member of its political party; disregard court orders; refuse to provide infrastructures that our eyes can see; and so on.
“We reject the APC government, that keeps giving excuses and refuses to take great action to CHANGE this country, as it promised in the 2015 elections and campaigns.
“We reject the APC government, that failed to provide 24-hours power generation, build schools, provide clean water, good roads, good healthcare, easy business opportunities, chased away foreign investors with its very bad economic policies, increased the rate of internet crimes among youths, because of lack of jobs or better opportunities.
“We reject the APC government, that waited untill a few months to the forthcoming 2019 elections, thinking Nigerians are still stupid and gullible, to send its very well-educated Vice President, a Professor and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN, to go to market places and rural areas, to distribute N10,000 loans, not even a dash, and broadcasting it on National TV, like they are doing a favour to the Nigerian people.
“We reject the APC government, that has completely ignored the middle class, thinking they are running a government of poverty, by distributing and broadcasting a staged distribution of N5,000 to very poor Nigerians, monthly, in a country that is worth several trillions of dollars.
