Card readers are no longer useful, says INEC

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared that Smart Card readers have lost their usefulness.

The INEC’s National Commissioner of Information and Voter Education, Festus Okoye stated this on Wednesday.

He said the smart card reader has lost its relevance because the courts do not recognise it as a means to prove over-voting.

Okoye, who spoke yesterday in Abuja said the courts still rely on voter registration and election results as a means of proving over-voting.

  1. … and you ‘re laying the blame on the court? But you forgot so soon how you and your INEC work so hard to deny having a saver before Presidential Election Tribunal… Go and sit down joh make we hear word… Tell your boss that INEC under his watch and leadership is the most corrupt and most confused INEC we ever had, and Nigerians do not have faith in him again… Tell him also that it is high time he resigned…
