A South African lady, Audrey Matshukudu, on Wednesday asked for help to locate and arrest her estranged husband, who has allegedly been physically abusing her.
Matshukudu took to her Facebook page to share details of the abuse which she claimed to have suffered at her husband’s hands.
In the post, which she titled, “Enough is Enough!!!”, she alleged that her husband, Matshukudu Matshukudu had, on 15th April 2018, physically assaulted her, forcing her to move out of the house to a safe place.
However, he found out about the safe place and came there to beat her up again. Audrey claimed that she even spotted him at her workplace when she was on her way there to state why she didn’t show up at work.
Since that time, the police has advised that she go into hiding alongside her son.
As of the time of her post, Audrey and her son have been in hiding for five days. “It’s been five days now since I opened the case. He has not been arrested and I am stuck in one place. I can’t go to work, my son can’t go to school, while he is roaming the streets of Kimberley.”
“I’m not going to be a statistic while my photo circulates around social media after being beaten or stabbed to death,” she concluded.
