School Teacher Suspended For Comment Against Buhari In Niger State


A primary school teacher has been suspended for his Facebook comment criticizing President Muhammadu Buhari and the Niger State government. Baba Muhammad Wani who was a teacher at Agaie local government was suspended by the Education Secretary.

The letter from the Education secretary to the teacher that criticized President Buhari and the Niger State govt on Facebook.

The letter stated that he was being suspended for his post on his timeline on Facebook which was against the personality of President Muhammadu Buhari and the Niger State government at all levels.

Gimba Kakanda, perhaps the most popular online personality from Niger State and a writer, posted this story on his wall on Facebook. Gimba simply wrote, “A schoolteacher in Agaie, Niger State, has been suspended over his Facebook posts “against the personality” of President Buhari and “the present governments at all levels.” We live in an interesting time.
